About This is a desert Arroyo falls that is dry. This is the upper part of the falls that drops about 40 feet in total. It is normally dry until the gully washers come.

I wasn't sure whether I liked the color version of this or the sepia toned. It was a 50-50 split when I asked family. Your opinion on the color or the sepia versions, please.

I've already uploaded the sepia version.

I actually prefer the sepia, but wonder what the sepia would look like if you instead used a more earthy tone. In any event, sepia beats color for me.

Preciosa imagen, me gusta el ángulo de la toma, realza las capas de esa escalinata, como planchas superpuestas, la perspectiva perfecta. Felicitaciones!

I like the color shot the best because the blue of the sky adds depth to the foreground. I also like the various shades of brown and neutral tone of the Falls. Great shot. :) Andree

Color -

Sky is masked and enhanced? Watch for those mask lines if it is!

----

The wider the lens the better if you come across these landscapes with a nice recession and pattern. I think for a waterfall since it is so striated horizontally, you might want to offset that by shooting portrait mode to get the most amount of detail from the textured rocks and cracks leading away to that nice sky.

Tough to get that with a 24mm, but we use what we got!

Looks so much calmer in colour ..i like the colour ..but to dramatise the lack of water the sepia is much more dramatic ..so for that reason the sepia..nessa

...I much prefer this version, as I think the colour helps add some extra textures to the shot.

But both are great shots.

All the best,
Ed
