Great angle and pose youve captured Giulio. This looks very similar to the South African Wolf spiders (Lycosis species). Free running, hunting down their prey and growing up to 35mm in size. Regards. Joggie

This spider is one mean looking dude. You took a great picture of him, though. If you hate them a lot, it must have taken some doing to get close enough to get this shot. MAry

I am not keen of spiders as well - however, a solid capture of this one. Nice clarity toward the eyes and the feeling that the spider is crawling out with it's legs positioned the way they are. Nicely done Giulio.
