Yes Susie, If you work on the original you can do much better work. Mostly just lighten them a little would be best. Don.

I always appreciate your input Don. On my monitor the eyes after you sharpened them are pretty harsh and unnatural looking. Thanks for taking the time to critique it though. ) Susie

I think it works well either way. The color is interesting, might try and cut the contrast a little on it. I don't know how it is done but you should be able to fade it a bit. Don.

This is PRECIOUS, Sissy! GREAT job...eye focus spot on! I love the b&w and I think I prefer that one, but the color wash is good too, and I think it might grow on me. But for now it's the b&w...which seems to be the consensus. Jeff and Shara should love this one! Kathy

Beautifully taken composition my dear Susie and both versions look great. My preference is for the mono toned conversion it really does suit this lovely subject the best. I normally prefer colour photography to conversions but as in the case of Kathy's triptych the monotones work with greater effect. I love that gentle soft hint of a smile and those lovely dark eyes. He has arranged himself into an adorable relaxed pose, albeit unknowingly, and could be a natural model as he grows older. Well done to you sweetie, great work. All my very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

What an adorable little guy, great kid portrait shot. Love the great details and fine tonal range. I prefer the b&w version. More sense, more softness including this image. The colourwashed one too colourful, it has to need more wash. See the attachement my version. I hope you like it.
Have a nice day dear Susie! Robert
