The haze is very nice, Janet! It adds atmospheric perspective. However, you can control the saturation or chroma and sharpness to your liking, afterwards - this is to bring out the best of what is already there. Good luck and best regards! Eb

Thank-you Eb, I too would have liked a little more saturation, however the haze was strong. Thanks for your comments.

Exciting panorama, Janet! The sky is very complementary to the landscape! My preference is for a little more saturation, sharpness or local contrast. Well done! Eb

Absolute agreement about that haze. I had trouble with it as well. I took that shot late afternoon. The haze and harsh mid-day light is one reason I desaturated the shot you saw in my portfolio. (Thanks for the comments, btw)
Took a look at your total portfolio, too. WOW!! Really nice stuff! Congrats.

Thanks for the nice feed back James.
Yes we were both on the Blue Ridge this past weekend. Great weather, but alot of haze.
I did ...believe it or not use a circular polarizer on this image. I don't remember what time of the day I took this particular photograph.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful mountain image!
Regards, Janet

Looks like we were both up on the Blue Ridge this weekend!!
I like the choice of cropping wide. It gives a panoramic feel. I also like the trees on each side guiding the eye into the center of the image. I can't help but wonder, though...what could you have done for the color of that sky? Maybe a polarizing filter to punch up the blue?
I was playing around with a graduated neutral density, but didn't get what I was after. I did use a Polarizer to decent effect, though. Wish I had a tobacco filter to play with, too. I wanted to bring out some contrast or even "anger" in some of the clouds I saw.
Nice shot, though. Thanks for posting it!
