Have no fear Michele . . . I'm seldom insulted even when people try to do so intentionally! Your encouragement is welcomed by her and she seems to feel you two are "birds of a feather" as it were. Since I have no foot pictures . . . well . . . as long as a single bug lives I may not have time to take a shot of my foot! LoL! :) My reading was . . . no matter how much credit she gives me . . . it's NOT too much!! :) We men read what we want to see! Let me know what you think of picasa . . . and keep a straight horizon. Certainly a new friend . . .
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Thankyou sooooo much for all the info Doyle. I do appreciate it. I hope you know I meant 'no insult' to You about Marlyce giving too much credit to her tutor ! Ha ! I just think she is very good and wanting to encourage her. I thought we had some simular views in our subjects too. I will love to try the picassa program . Thank you very much. Hopefully a new Friend to the Chastain Family .
With appreciation, Michele~

Michele - If I'm not mistaken, zoombrowser is a Canon editing program that can adjust brightness, color and redeye . . . but not a lot more than that. You could check the documentation about straighten or rotate features but I'm not very familiar with the program (not a canon man since the old 35mm AE-1 Programmable). I would absolutely replace it. Google has a free program called Picasa which has (I think) even more editing power . . . is free . . . and will straighten and crop all your shots as you deem necessary. It even has some special effects functions and will organize all your images. I used it for a bit, but would recommend (if you can afford it) a commercial editing program. I have recently changed to PS4 Elements from my former program, Nova Photo Development. (I changed from Picasa only when I started working my current software; formerly using both programs as necessary). I was never unhappy with picasa . . . and you can find it by typing picasa into a google search. It will not remove anything you are already using so you can try it and then decided whether you want to keep it, the other, or both . . . Incidentally . . . don't worry about Marlyce giving too much credit to her tutor . . . ;)

No feelings hurt my friend. This is how we learn , right ? Don't give too much credit to your tutor...a tuto can help of course BUT You are the one who actually takes the ultimate shot. I am using Zoombrowser which doesn't give me much editing power ! I have to grow into a better program I think! Thank you for your offer of help . You have a very interesting portfolio especially if this is new to you. Keep up the great work ! Michele~

You do have some great shots. Leave it up if nothing more to look back later to see how you have progressed.

Michele,
I am glad your feelings were not hurt. I am learning to, but I happen to be living with a personal tutor who is not half bad. What program are you using with you pictures, I bet between the two of us we can tell you how to fix the pictures. Marlyce

I really like this shot and the snakey pond with the exception of the horizon line. Both are beautiful shots but would be more so if you leveled the horizon. Marlyce
