Great detail and clarity. I love the black background, the wings seem to blend into it while the body contrasts well. Did you take this at night with a flash?

I really like your pictures! They have great depth and beauty.I am mostly shooting animals, birds and insects right now. I wish I had the subject matter you have shot for my own. You have more than ability, you have the eye, that can't be taught. People don't see Hummingbirds the way I shoot them. That's why I take a different approach, all the more fun. Keep shooting!-Rich

Anabella this is a Hummingbird. They weigh 3.5 grs. Their heartbeats at 1250 times a minute and their wings beat from 22 to 78 times a sec. They are only found in the americas.-Rich

I really like the way the Parrot stands out with the dark background. Hard critter to get close to ain't it?? Very nice shot, you've captured a special moment for sure.
