Hi Hilton, the image quality in this photo is very nice indeed. The style is something I can't argue with, so I'll try to keep it on the technicalities.
I think the lighting is rather flat, as is the tonal range. In a way that fits with the softness of the portrait, but I think it's a little too much.
Then there is the proximity of the model with the backdrop, which is IMO a bit too close. WIth a slhallower DOF, and a bit more distance between the girl and the backdrop, you'd still be able to make out the individual shapes, and create a bit of separation between primary and secondary subject. I admit, that's also pretty ambiguous, as it depends on what you had in mind and what you try to achieve.
The distant, dreamy look fits well with the softness of the image, but it kind of reduces the connection with the viewer, as well as the emotive feel, IMO, not a very dramatic portrait.
I guess I'm not over-positive about this photo, but that's also because I find it difficult to guess the intentions with this shot. It's well captured, but I think the full potential doesn't quite come across.
I like this shot Hilton, good portrait with good expression on the face. Great choise for B&W and soft focus. Maybe a little too much light on the forehead and left side of her face, notthing disturbing. Take care,
