Oh ... thank you so much ... very kind of you! VD was introduced 20 years ago here; 5 million postcards are being sent nowadays (more than Easter cards!) ... can be compared to 50 million Xmas cards, and a population of ~ 5 million people!

The man on the bench sure gives a comparison to the hugeness of the columns. This building must be a sight to see. I love the sprinkling of the birds on the sidewalk. What a grand composition.

Belle compo au trois quart occuppée par ces colonnes lisses, linéaires, belle opposition entre le colossal d'un blanc pur (?) et le relativement petit un peu décrépit; le personnage est vraiment isolé et écrasé par la colonnade, d'autant plus qu'il est un peu sombre. Un petit peu de «lens correction» peut-être :)

Well composed, and exposed. The texture on the building is very good. Including the man on the bench was a good idea, he adds interest to the shot.

Neat street shot!! I especially like the little boarded up (or should I say bricked... ;-D) house next to those hughe columns, the man on the bench reading a paper oblivious of everything around him is a great bonus! Great angle and composition... well captured!!!
