Had a look at the others in the D.O.F series before coming back here. I think this one is possibly the best of the five although there is not much 'macro' detail. But this study isn't so much about capturing the minutist detail as it is about experimenting with depth of field, right?
So, with that in mind and even though the settings used are the same as "IV", what you have done here is far superior in terms of focal point, composition and subject matter.
The dof is perfect (of course), it's simple, it's clean, aesthetic, polished off cleverly in elegant black matte.... and quite frankly, I can't understand why this hasn't had more attention!
I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination (you can tell by my poor use of technical jargon), but at least I can recognise smart photography! :)
Could learn a lot from your work, so I plan on visiting here often (or at least until you call the police)
an unusual vision...nice cropping..i don't know what's missing exactly...may be needed to be more eccennteric or the out of depth area in the foreground is too much....good work...keep it up
