Hi Evren, I see your point, and I admit I'm rather unfamiliar with the Dalit lives. Didn't imply I don't like this shot, or that it isn't good, though. The photo clearly shows a more profound intent, and I do like that idea.
What I meant to say is you used two very intriging and dominant (and not to mention very well captured) scenes, and give it an equal importance in this shot. To me, that creates a lot of confusion to the "casual observant" - like me, making it very difficult to fully appreciate the true beauty of this shot.
for me rather than being simplistic, prefer 'layered' compositions by trying to unfold the obvious and the hidden and mysterious sides of 'Dalit' lives at the same time here.. thanks anyway.
Hi Evren, Superb light, but a rather distracting split in this image, combining two separate points of interest. The blue light with the faint shape of the kid and his (her?) shadow on the wall on the left are extremely strong, and I wish the photo was limited to that information. Eventhough the scene on the right is also quite interesting and well captured, I think combining the two makes one of the scenes redundant.
