Great stuff Mark! At first I though perhaps you'd gone too far with the extent of the lens flare, but after looking at it a little, I decided that the lens flare looks like aligned planets! Bravo! And this was a perfect base shot to do this with. You might start a trend here and we'll all be doing monoliths soon!

I don't mind you getting carried away, so far I always end up learning something in the process. I've seen some of his work and didn't realize it. You found me out I am a repressed painter, couldn't paint to save my life, much less draw. I always find myself wanting to back to school after one of your comments.

OK, Mark, I do get carried away sometimes! But I think you’ll understand if you see his La Chateau des Pyrenees. This is not the first time I've thought about Magritte in looking at your work, though. I'm glad you checked him out. His vision and yours seem to be parallel. What do you think?

Love it- the tree of life! Lights to it getting bigger-brill! That has summed it all up for me Mark and drawn it together. The joy of learning. So pleased you did go "artsy fartsy" and explain!!! (Now they're words I understand and use alot!!)

If I remember we didn't see the next Monolith until we set up a base on the moon. The first one was when we learned how to use a bone as a weapon that the "apes" used to protect themselves. It's like until we could get ourselves to the moon we weren't ready for the next step.
Each one seemed to represent a next step in human evolution. I like the way you put it from old age to modern. I put the light coming to the tree, because I saw it as the tree of life.
Before I get way to artsy fartsy I will leave it at that :-)

Great to be able to do this image in itself. But brilliant- you got me thinking and learning again! In the film, was it discovering tools led to evolution, but then modern trips to planet with computer could lead to danger. Is that the idea? And the base of the your image is the old age, the rest movement to modern?
