About I put the Widelux photos in the Medium Format category because the WIDTH is nearly 7cm, wider than a Hasselblad 6 x 6 negative. But height is the standard 35mm film's 2.4cm. So it's MF taken on 35mm. Cool trick!

Your description is something I am not familiar with; but that's okay. I love the colours and the fresh feel of spring in this. The tree branch framing the top ties it all togethere o well. Very pretty, Roger.

You're absolutely right, of course, Keith. One of the few drawbacks of the Widelux is the rather poor definition of the L&R extremities of the field of view. There are engraved "directions = arrows" on the top of the camera, and you do better to sight along those than rely on the viewfinder... There is a SH one in good nick at my local shop, the later model than mine (F8, not F7), but the asking price is 70,000 JPY and you'd be stuck if there was anything wrong with it... However, let me know if you are interested. We could probably work something out.

Ah yes - the widelux, I do wish I could find a reasonably priced one of these, they look like great fun. I think on this shot it might have been nice to see just a little more of the left hand path and a tad less of the right hand hedge, but I love the pinks.

What a glorious scene Roger; so much blossom and so much sunshine (we have sun, waiting for our share of the blossom).
This is another wonderful panorama with bag loads of details and interest. The colours are beautiful. Well done you. I'm still on the catch-up trail, but work got in the way as it does this time in each week. You still have some that I must comment on so I'll 'see' you again on Thursday...All the best Roger.....Ray

I have never tried IR film, GG. I really don't know anything about it... I have the feeling it is very difficult, no? The weather is beautiful at this time of year in Japan--the cherry blossoms are wonderful. I walked miles and miles today taking 3D (stereo) pictures of the blossoms in central Tokyo!

Hello Roger,
a very beautiful and sunny landscape. When will you try a IR film? ;)
The result should be incredible with these colours
Bye
