Hi Jon, I was fooled by the march 31 posting date! My brother and I are going up to the cottage this Friday for the first time this year. (About 185 miles north of Toronto) I fully expect ice to still be on most lakes and there will still be a lot of ice on our river. This time of year the bush is still full of snow and so is the driveway down to the cottage. We sometimes have to carry our beer quite a distance through the snow to the cabin :) Andre
Hi, Andre - Actually I took this shot near the beginning of March, which did indeed rage in like a lion (three big dumps of snow - way over the monthly average) then left us suitably lamb-like . We got in quite a bit of playing in the melting snow - chopping drainage canals in the ice, building dams and breaking them, that sort of thing. Joey enjoyed it too :-] ... Now the snow is all gone except in the deepest shadows and I'm waiting for the garden to dry up enough to get into. Ah, Spring!
