Unusual weather and mood in this one, Tim. But it has your usual strong structure--that diagonal line formed by the tree is SO strong... and of course it looks almost three dimensional with the distance lightly veiled in mist. Do you ever take 3D shots Tim, i.e., stereo pairs? It's easy enough with the "Cha-cha-cha" approach (shifting from one foot to the other and taking a second shot). Fine if there's nothing moving within the field of view... this one would be sensational in 3D!

Beautiful composition and I love that misty, snowy background, Tim! Some would say this turned out to be a lemon for weather but you've certainly made lemonade! You've taken wonderful advantage of this opportunity. Dave.

Excellent landscape with strong angular lines crossing and bold form of the silhouetted tree. Great detail in the foreground leading into the scene. The haziness in the background gives a great sence of depth. Very well done Tim. Joggie

Great shot Tim! Wow, I've never seen a picture of the arch in the distance. Sure gives a different perspective on things. I think the clouds/fog adds a certain moodiness to the scene and I don't recall seeing too many shots from this area with cloudy skies. Cheers, Gary
oh, congrats on the SC award on one of yesterday's pics!
