Hi Laurie, yes it was just a quick jaunt through the south western states. I would have stayed much longer but the friend i was traveling with was not a photog and did not like camping...but hey i was very happy to see my area of birth again even if it was short.

Hey Tim, Hope you got over to see the "HOO DOO'S" Arches and Canyonlands are definitely on my top 10 of favorite places to photograph in the U.S. I go at least 2 times a year (spring and winter) Looks like you got some killer stuff. Great work as always. Laurie

You're really making that WA zoom work for its living. Ideal to capture the scale of this scenery. I like that touch of blue in the sky, and the dull green of that little bush... a little eye relief from that sandy red and the grey sky!

Your perspective is wonderful here Tim, I like how you have given us a feel of the vegitation and then the amazing rocks and enormous space beyond. It feels endless. Alison

I like the inclusion of the foreground here, Tim, it really adds interest to the scene. A great series of shots you've done here! Dave.

This would be a cracker if the sun had been low and to the right, Yes Tim, I know you don't get to have your cake and eat it too, if you do a painting of it I guess you will rectify this.

Always with your way of creating images, you let there be interesting objects in the foreground which lead the eye to the background ... and back and forth! Nice shot Tim!
