About I found this little sap sucker on one of our young gum trees. The ants had also found it and were harvesting the honeydew it excretes from its rear end. It was a windy day and I was handholding the camera as I didn't have a tripod with me. One hand holding the branch and the other holding the camera. I never seem to make it easy on myself.

Hi, Susie, The settings for this one were: f11; Shutter: 1/30sec; ISO 400; WB:Cloudy.(I think). I did use flash at - 2 stops, and exposure comp. -.7. I use the cloudy WB a lot even when using flash to give the photo a warmer look. Hope this helps. Thanks for your interest. Cheers, Ann.

Hi Ann,
Would you mind telling me the settings that you used on this? I think we have the same camera (Dig Rebel?) and was wonderding what ISO, WB, F, etc. you used.
Very nice macro. Great job!

Excellent macro Ann - beautiful colours, texture and lots of interest added by the ants busy harvesting. A little more light on the face of the insect is all that short. Great work.
