Thanx again Claire.
This is a little more what i am trying to get across. Something good in a seemingly dark demonic place.
Thanx for your comments
Cheers
Steve

ha, its funny seeing the other opinions! i totally got a religious feeling from it straight away...with the cross and all, and there is a slight 'break' in the clouds above the tree, so i got kind of the burning bush thing from it, but with the cherry thing... the film 'in the cut' there is a quote 'i want to do to you what spring does to the cherry trees'...dunno if this helps at all! that kind of puts a full of life/posative spin on it!! i understand how difficult is it trying to attach some meaning after its shot, and religion is always a tricky one to work with i find, but keep going, maybe give it a break for a couple of weeks and when you come back to it, its whole consept will just LEAP off the print at you!!! good luck, let me know how it goes

I might say it is a bit too moody for me. I like the idea and the execution but I find it too dark. Perhaps lightened but more contrast?

I know you were not in control of what shows up in the background but I do find myself distracted by the buildings.

Best,
Dave

Thanks Claire
I do agree that i do need to do something with the contrast of the B&W. I am still trying to decide what i am trying to say with this image. When i look at it i sence some kind of religious undertone. I dont know if that is what im trying to say though. I think that i will add a lot of contrast to the sky and add a little more "negative" mood to it.
Cheers

i don't understand why noone has commented! this shot is very dramatic. maybe i would improve it slightly by making the b&w bit even darker, i think it would add to the mood, making it more atmospheric
