Your idea works really well too. I didn't even try cropping it closer. I must confess that I dropped in this sky and I guess I was so proud of it I didn't think to cut it down.  ) Love this site and all the great input! Thanks...

Gorgeous greens and blues (and torquoise). Good depth. Fabulous in the vertical comp. I would be tempted to crop a bit more off the sky, down to the top of the mountain on right. Draws the eye more toward the water and dam. Spectacular nonetheless Susie!

Susie, nice shot and a pretty scene. I like the color of those "rock flour" tinted lakes and nice mountain scenery. The lakes in Canadian Rockies are like that as most of those are fed by glaciers.

All the right lines, leading to all the right places and nice and crisp and clear.
The water is that same colour in the Canadian rockies too. I remember that impressing me so much when we vistited there.
