You see John........... a lot of interesting places over here. It could be the ones you've mentioned, but it is the Batavia, a replica of the ship that goes down on her maiden trip somewhere in the 17th century. the ship is on a warf and is very difficult to take a picture without distracting things in front and rear. When I have a change somewere in the future I take a change and when it worked I'll post it on USE. Take care,
Klaas

Thanks Laura, when you have the plans to visit our little coutry sometime in the future, you must visit this warf, it's really amazing to see how they build these old ships. I took years, because they work only with volunteers and unemployed workers. Have a nice weekend,
Klaas

Hi Rashed, They did an amazing job over here to copy this one. I'm glad you like the picture, and when I can find the time I'll try to go there again on an other part of the day when the sun is in good position to take the whole ship. It will be a bit difficult, because of all kinds of disturbing things in that area, it is almost not possible to come in a position to take the whole ship without these disturbing objects, but I'll do my best, but don't set a date for it. All the best, and take care.

Hello Maxime, nice to hear from you again. I couldn't take it from another point, because it was behind bars, and on the other side only water. Thanks you like it, They're (the warf)now building a seventeenth century warship, wat was in those days the flagship of admiral Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter, a famous navy-officer in those days, and still is. It was broke down because in those days it became to old, but all of the drawings were still in museums and so they picked up the Idea to keep the warf and rebuild this one. I attach a picure of "Batavia's"profile.

Hi Riny, thanks for liking this picture better than your own. Can you show me that one?

Groetjes, Riny
