Peter,I w'll try to give the steps I made to become this result:
I worked with Photoshop CS (dutch version so I have to translate terms, I hope I did it good)
1° I applied FILTER/STYLLE/LIGHTING BORDER
2° IMAGE/ADJUST/NEGATIVE
Now you have a drawing without many colours and you have to colour in what you want to be coloured with the bucket, sometimes you have to select parts to prevent the whole picture is coloured but with a bit of patience!
I wish you the best!

I like the posterization effect very much in this. I don't think it detracts from the overall image at all. Can you share the steps you took to achieve this result? Well done.

You seem to be fond of taking similar photos from different angles, Ferdinand & that works very well for me. So doed the change of colors in this & its neighbor to the right.
You may have noticed that my "Flower" was captured in Uruguay. In that country, we were told, everything is done "eventually", so ever since coming back from there, I live in slow motion. That's the reason for being so late in thanking for your comments on my photos.
Best regards,
Rafi

Interesting processing giving the image a very painterly look, Ferdinand.
