The look of pride on the father's face and of maturity on the baby's is terrific. I love the tonal balance and composition. Very nice! Steve

Roger, The image was badly exposed and 'fixed' in photoshop. The original was underexposed, and very red, taken just after sunset. I liked the baby's expression so I made a few b&w versions.
I haven't taken any photos for a while, as I've been busy with my bands. Little League season starts soon and I'll be back to using my old Rolleiflex.

Hi, Ed. Nice to see something from you after quite a while. I have to say this B&W has the hard-to-define "look" of digital-camera monochrome. At it's worst it can have a kind of smooth but plasticky look. It's nothing like that bad here, but still rather a different texture from your earlier MF work. Do you feel that? Or is a purely subjective thing on my part? As for the photo itself, the baby has a strangely wise and knowing look (not to mention a hairstyle rather like mine). Great portrait...
