lets face it, a lot of people on this 'critique' site only praise photos with 'nice one' or 'amazing' and to be honest thats not a way for me to learn. obviously there will be no point in critiqueing any more of your photos seeing as you take offence so easily. if you want to think you don't have basic issue's with dust, clumsy ps selections and oversaturation causing pixelation on this and some of your work then more fool you. my only gripe with your comment about my image is that it says nothing. other than you don't like it and that you think your work is superior! cheers!

Paul (take a tip from someone that knows. If you look at the comments I have recieved for this image (all good) until your comment,it makes me wonder how big a magnifying glass you have to be so critical of an image that (lets face it is way way way way superior to the image of yours that I left a comment on (and you dont seem to agree with.)It is you that is at fault here. Why dont you take what ever image you see at face value, look at the comments before and try not to be different to most other peole and enjoy the image for what it is.As it happens you are a good photographer(your images prove that, but in the case of the image you critisized and the one I did,(You know and I know (and everone else would know) that you are being a little bit over critical of an image that every one that left a comment seen it for what it was .Put down your magnifying glass and start enjoying every ones photos for what they appear to be rather that what you want them to be.

sorry kevin, i thought this was a critique site, where members gave honest opinions so we can all improve our photography. i never realised i had to be some amazing photographer to make a comment on how i personnally thought you could improve some of your images. as i told you on several other posts i really enjoy a lot of your work, especially your composition using ps. to make it personal, critise my work in a non constructive blanket fashion is a bit petty. maybe i should just stick to saying how amazing and perfect your work is. am sure that'll help your ego....but not your photogrpahy. please feel free to constructively criticise my work....thats is why i post my images.

the composition seems just a little bit off, which is unusual for you. i think it has been put very clumsily together in ps , and you can easily see where you have pasted different photos together. i can see dust marks from your digital camera which you haven't bothered to crop out and i am sure if you blew this up even by 50% the pixelation of the sky would render it unprintable.... i can see it pixelating even at this size, like quite a lot of your other work.

Another beauty, Kevin. A very minimalist appeal at first glance, but then with so many layers of interest. Very good work. Tim

Kevin, this shot is excellent, HOWEVER, I would try to saturate those blues and greens a bit more, and get a warmer color temperature. I love this picture, I just wish the potential of those colors could be brought full circle, I think it would make it exponentially more beautiful. Keep up the good work, and keep me posted if you edit it any further, I'd love to see how it progresses.

Must be viewed at full size, although I don't think I like the 'grain' ... pun intended, but very mildly of course with nice additions to the original image!

Nicely done, Kevin. I would have to agree that without the sky and cottage the composition would not be very interesting. I like the subtle tones in the wheat field, however. Eb
