As with the previous image… just documenting the recovery from the bushfires.. same stretch of the Thredbo or Crackenback River about two kms upstream of the village.. it a lovely pleasant walk straight up the middle of the river through the small rapids hand holding and shooting 1/1oth sec exposures @ F22 amazes me I can still do it.. This afternoon I was as absorbed in what I was doing as ever and I thought I heard an odd pop noise ..like a champagne cork above the sound of the water rushing over the cascades I continued on my homeward journey downstream and came across a couple sitting on two huge boulders with a bottle of champagne balanced in the river, wedged in some rocks sharing a take way Pizza from the Alfresco Pizzeria (Neoplotana is awesome lots of anchovies!) and sipping on champagne.. I complimented them on their excellent choice of venue for dinner they toasted to the river and I walked on downstream… Later I was surrounded by thousands of small white butterflies astounding too difficult to photograph they would look ordinary .. I sms’d Kiny and told her of them.. she wished she was there
I wish I was there too. It must have been an astonishing sight. May recovery be as fast as possible!!!! Lovely spot, very moody capture, Roger Best regards - Emgy
