Thanks, Ann! There is just something about brand new growth, isn't there? I think these are day lilies. I'll probably be taking shots of them when they bloom. I love them!

Thanks, Ina! Like I told Laura, I think these are day lilies. I haven't even checked the tulips. We've had so much rain that that part of my yard is a swamp...but I'll bet they are up, too!

Actually Laura, I think these are day lilies. It's so hard to tell when they first come up, but they aren't crocus for sure. I have some of those coming up, too!

What a relief! After all those icy photos, this is something to shout about! Most often I don't like a centrally-placed subject but am making an exception with this one! Beautiful!

What a refreshing early sign of spring, Kathy! I love the warm greens fading to white and the tiny stripes, the angle of shooting and the macro quality! Would they be tulips, or something else? I can smell the fresh earth, great earth tones! Very original and well done!

Yes Kathy we are also getting early bulbs peeping through about the same size as these pictured here. Ours are daffodils but as you say if we get another deep freeze or cold snap we might lose them.
This image is so refreshing after all the wintery images we've been posting. I love those but this is such a refreshing change. Wondering what sort of bulbs these would be? Lovely DOF and super colours. A beautiful image.
Cheers - Ann :)

Great capture Kathy - somehow it brings a smile to my face - not sure why as we're in the middle of our Summer. Love the freshness of the soil clinging to the plant, well done! Shirley
