from the thumbnail I thought it was an eye of an animal.. surprised.. when it unfolded.. I like the contrast of the color.., the contrast in texture.., the "eye" of the tree is very strong in the composition... nice capture!

Super details and clarity Larry and the splashes of red against the grey bark are fun for the eyes. Great textures are an added bonus. Very nice shot. Well seen.
