Blimey Ralf - what a shot. The ship looks so tactile, and sort of 'out of place' somehow which makes the whole thing most excellent.

Hi Ralf, I like the combination of the two elements I recognise from a few of your recent postings. Good to see it in colour too! The huge, yet elegant shape of the frigate in combination with the block is simply perfect within this series. Also, the warm, rather soft tones work well. Most of all, the reflection symmetry of the hull / bow of the frigate and it's reflection are fantastic. Great shot.
Cheers,
Hugo

What a fantastic image showing the abilities of human being to make such a gigantic vessel. I bet you she accomodate thousand people in it. Hence we see people without any shelters! I am not going to have heavy philosophy discussion here. I hope when she moves around doesn't hurt our Mother Earth. Anyhow back to our photography nitch. It is an excellent image, love those reflection and your angle of view in other to compare the dimention of her to those little boxes as flats. By the way not only you have an eye for photography, your lovely toold (5D) would be a bigger help also. God bless.

Brilliant composition - such a sense for composition you have. I like this dividing of the image and the fact that the foreground is a ship and the background normally homes make it really interesting. Then i also think the ship is a military one which also add to the scene. Now i happend to be there a loooooong time ago and remember the number of military ships there. Was leaving the harbour with a ship. But i did nopt have any opportunity as this, i´m afraid!!! I will keep an eye on you...
