awwww shucks. Thanks. A wonderful image and a wonderful line of comments about your abilities. And to think once, way back when, you told me you had run out of ideas. Or was it talent? Well, you were wrong on both counts.

I think you look more like one of the monsters in one of those 1950's hollywood B science fiction movies, Ian. ;>) The background is stunning. Steve

Ian, congrats!! Really like your self-effacing humor....I think it's the flailing arms that give the impression that you're doing a penguin impersonation. Aside from that, the shot is simply fantastic! Sooo much detail has been absorbed with the extended shutter speed, the night sky is dream-like, and the overall composition worthy of my wall! Love it, my friend... ...Brad

...does this mean that you were a secret member of Devo?
Well done on the award brother! In the process of securing my own SMC Tak... I've got a 1.7 here that just lacks a camera to bolt it to... Cath's back tomorrow with the camera so fingers crossed...

Excellent combination of light and composition.
Not much more to say really, would love such landscapes around here to attempt shots like that (and associated weather) but it's too flat overall.

Very kind Hugo. So often I feel like an embarassment here, letting it all hang out and being so indulgently obscure. Really appreciate your support. We all have our thing to offer don't we, and so often it's our weaknesses that become strengths. I've learnt a lot from hearing your critiques of my work and others, you've a real gift, and are generous with it.

Hi Ian, it's almost impossible to describe the feeling here; you have a splendid way to depict your chimaeras, virtually unassessible for others, and that's what makes them fascinating. Fantastic. Intriguing. Inspiring.
Cheers,
Hugo
