Thanks for your comments Svend :)
Yes, I do enjoy taking night photographs. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's something in the mood, things half hidden in darkness and the way a relatively small amount of light can affect a scene so greatly.
I'm pleased and flattered that this picture will help you persevere with your own night photography. This was a lucky shot really - I used a lot of shots that night in the knowledge that one of them would be as intended (I was hindered by no tripod, and hands with a tendency to shake). I can't wait to see your results :)
Regards - Rick

You seem to like taking photographs at night. Me too. Here you have portrayed moonlight splendidly. I have tried a number of moonlit pictures, long exposures, with no success. The exposures have been too long, and the moon has dribbled across the frame unpleasantly. I haven't given up, you prove it can be done.

Thanks for your comments Santos and Alejandra :)
Alejandra: I'm afraid I don't know what the shutter/aperture were - I'm still at the beginners' side of novice at photography! Good luck with your own night photos though; judging by the standard of your portfolio, they should be excellent :)

I really like this photo. Do you know what the shutter/aperture was? I am taking some night shots too and I'd like to know what others are doing.
