About Same place and time - however while i was trying to get the caracal to 'hiss' at me i failed to see the huge nest of wasps who subsequently attacked my right ear .. quite painful, but I got the photo i wanted.

I think Lori has the right crop. This is a very intriguing picture. The eyes are so intense. Sorry to hear about your getting stung but anything for a good picture. Don.

Very nice dramatic look here

I like it alot! Lori Stitt's crop may be slightly more effective with the eyes higher in the frame, but a great pic all the same!

WOW!! This goes into my favs.
Excellent capture in quite dramatic circumstances...but you got it!
I have a slight preference for Lori's version...less blanc space above its head.

Hi Tjaart,

This is a very dramatic wildlife portrait indeed!
He really has outstanding eyes!!!

I think I would like a different crop, and hope you don't mind, thought I'd give it a try.

I like his eyes higher up in the frame rather in the middle. And since the high ear was cut off, doesn't matter if it's cut off more.

Let me know what you think,
Lori :)
