About Went across this Sunday morning. It is such a beautiful structure. I don't think they could do something like this now days. The government would have so many restrictions and regulations that it would never get done.

An excellent photo of the dam. It reminds me of a great time in our country when we were building magnificent structures benefiting all the people not just the few. Thanks for the reminder and a beautiful photo. Regards Gil

What a strange scenery. I didn't realize the size of it before noticing the cars on the dam itself. This is huge.
Good compo and excellent colour rendition - as always. I think the little foreground addition, in the LL corner, is just what it takes.

Another great image Don. You are so right. We can't build much today because of our bloated government.

Water looks low. I was kind of disappointed for you can go down in the dam like you use to the last time I was there. I like walking through it. Excellent photograph and capture.

Larry, I didn't want to walk back down there for that picture. I went through this in 1950 when there were no restrictions. It was a great experience. I don't know what you get to see now. It is quite a site. The water is so low now. I don't know how many feet but it is considerable. Very dry out here. We have not had an measurable rain since we have been here October 1. Won't be many wildflowers this spring as they depend on winter rain to bloom. Thanks. Don.

Yes this is a hydo electric plant that was completed in 1935. A beautiful work of engineering art.
Thanks for your nice comment. Don.

A spectacular view of the dam, Don! I like your composition, with the reflections in the foreground and the dam going back to the structures and towers in the background.
Dave.

Hey!...I've been there!...although at the time I only had a P&S 35mm film camera...so your photo is much better than anything I have from here...spectacular clarity and great reflection Don...you shoulda stood on the state line in the middle of the dam for a shot
