Hi Dave, I don't know the song... but this image does project a poetic atmosphere... I say, well shot!
I do like the undulating details from clear outlines to faded and subtle hints.
The black and white conversion surely has done it justice.
The only thing, which may be a personal taste thing, is that perhaps cropping it on the left hand side might add more mystery to the picture, and keep the flowing feel more consistent. I suggest cropping it over until the first fork in the branch from the left.
But otherwise, well seen and great capture.
Cheers, Alice.

Interesting shadows indeed. Would make a great album cover for the old Statler Brothers song. I hope your deck of cards does not have only 51 cards. Del.

It took me a minute to figure out what you shot, Dave. Nice catch. I like your B&W conversion. It suits the image.

Nice shadow play. How many fingers did you have to hold up to get this one. You are talented, my friend. (Just Kidding)
I really like this photo. I like how the shadow is very strong in the left side of the wall and fades as you look to the right. It has a distinctive path. Nice to look at. Kelly

wonderful scene, I love the nice shadows showing exactly what the tree looks like without actually seeing the tree, excellent.

Reminds me Dave of a scene I have seen a couple of nights when I look out a rear house window. The moon has been out so bright and there are trees towering over our yard, casting limb shadows over the white snow. Haven't tried but would like to try capture it. Any ideas what exposure it might take and what ISO to use?

That's really neat, David. I like the symetrical pattern of the door in the background. The shadow in the foreground is contrasting juxtaposition, flowing and moving. It is so real, almost like an actual silhouette of the tree. Eb
