Yes, you are right to think B&W is effective! Fadel, thanks for pointing this out to me. It has the feel of a classic.

Most beautiful even with clear sky! Did you consider a BW version of this beauty? If you don't mind I converted your image to BW and interested to know what you think.

Really nice colours through out the scene and good exposure.

Thanks again, Graham! The more I learn the more I realize that I have to get Photoshop CS. At the full price, it's going to hurt! The issue of sharpening is a particular weak point in my estimation of digital. I am used to sharp silver halide prints and the pixel prints just don't cut it (except yours.) Better sharpening tools are warranted. Is the Gaussian utility a part of Smart Sharp? As for making my photos available on your site, it does sound like a good idea. I have sent you an e-mail for instructions as, at the moment, the member's gallery will not allow me to upload. Once I see my prints at full resolution, I'll have a better idea on the effectiveness of my current sharpening practice when it comes to prints on the web.

Just amazing, Eb! Tremendous sense of depth (and I'm viewing on an LCD screen at the college!). Intense colors, no noticeable barelling and great component placement. Your last three uploads are great calendar material - please consider making them available at my site for resale/leasing. I really cannot offer any tips on improving this other than very minor adjustments. Id you have PS CS2, check out the "Smart Sharp" and use the Gaussian utility for fine tuning sharpening - it works wonderfully without pixel degradation.
