Hi George,
well, first I'm really flattered by your about. It's a pleasure for me if you have fun with your new toy. As Paul said, Ann and Bea are really adept with analogue toy cams as well.
Your Holga (btw: Every Holga is unique!) seems to produce sharp images. I always use the 6x6 option to have a full middle format. The only thing that I would work on is the contrast. a bit more would probably decrease the grain in the dark areas.
anyway, the first Holgas are always the most fascinating. keep it coming!
best wishes, Thilo

Well, Larry, "retro" is not half of it. This is a very cheesy plastic camera that sells for around twenty bucks. A friend gave me one--as a gag. Only a pin-hole camera is lower tech. It does produce an interesting quality, though, and it has a big cult following. There are lotsa web sites devoted to it. Check out this one: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/photo/essays/vanRiper/010706.htm --g

Congratulations on getting a result from the first film, not an easy task I'm told! Did you take out the 6x4.5cm mask? For more inspiration check out Ann Texter and Bea Friedli on UF, they are very adept with these cameras as well.
