So sorry to read the news about Stan but I did lose touch with so many people from here. There are still a handful of them that I see on Facebook these days but few of them seem to do much in the way of photography. I get out when I can myself but in these days of aching joints etcetera I have to push myself to carry my kit to favourite locations 🤣. So pleased for you in finding your childhood sweetheart. Enjoy life, be happy and lucky.

Yes, it is still somewhat surreal that we are married to each other. We used to ride horseback together when we were 11, 12, 13 yrs old. Don't know if you knew that Stan passed away a few years ago, too. We had remained friends all that time. His son notified me after finding some of my correspondence to Stan.
I still love this site best, as there seems to be more direct communication than on the other sites where I share.

I am so pleased to read of your wedding news. This came about after I left the site early in 2014 so the news is very welcome. Childhood sweetheart, belated congratulations to you both and my very best wishes always.
Seems a lot more restrained on the site these days Shirley, hopefully it is just a lull.

Hi Ray. It is so nice to see you again, too. Don't know if you knew I married my childhood sweetheart in 2014. We are so very happy. He's a world renown customer saddle maker. Our Mom's had been best friend their whole lives. His two sisters reconnected us on Facebook.
Anyway, yes, it is nice to see some of the old members here again. I'm still friends with some of the others on Facebook, too.
