Hi Morgan, The Montreal Botanical Gardens is a great place to start. They have great green houses as well as wonderfull outdoor gardens. Within the Gardens is an Insectarium which can provide you with endless hours of shooting. Next is the Biodome which is across the street. They have 5 different ecosystems with plenty of fauna from each one. When taking a break from your shooting Montreal has great festivals in the summer. Jazz,comedy..... Hope this helps Gerry

Wow! An insectarium?! Cool! My girlfriend's father wanted to go to a jazz festival (don't care much for jazz, more into classical, neo-classical, metal, 80's hair bands, etc.), but it would certainly make for some neat pictures. Thanks!

Hi Morgan, yes for the botanical garden & suroundings, but there is also the shores of the St-Laurence with it's rapids along the Lachine canal to reach Ste-Anne just around the West Island where there is a marshland full of birds and wild animals. Hope it's of any help.

An insect zoo? Sounds like there are bound to be one or two interesting photos lurking in there.
But I remember Montreal, many years ago, and just the structures, the historic buildings, the residential neighborhoods. Same for Quebec. Haven't been back. But cityscapes, architecture, 'street' shots might show something very interesting, as well.

Manchester, NH? Go north, climb the mountains and take shots of Lake Winnipesaukee. Lots of deer and snakes to shoot when hiking around there.
Of course every tourist used to shoot the 'Old Man of the Mountain' (NHs famous funky-shaped mountain) but a few years ago a rock slide killed it.
