Hi, Chris,
How basic is "basic"? If it's not too basic, I would be interested.

Sue,
Thanks for the response. Our original thought was to keep it very basic but I am open to ideas others might have. I have see people buy a camera at a store (Wal-Mart, K-mart...etc) and have no idea how to use it. They set it on program mode and shoot away then wonder why some pictures don?t come out.

I'm not sure I'd need much in a basics photography class but keep me posted if this leads to some other topics down the road. Are you and your wife a member of a club, Chris? What I'd really like to know about are some recommendations concerning clubs around the city. Sue, feel free to chime in if you have any ideas.

Andy,
No we are not members of any club but I do know of a few in my area.

Hi, Chris,
I'm thinking I don't need quite that basic instruction either (although some may look at my gallery and think otherwise LOL), but like Andy, I'd like to be informed of what develops.
Andy, I'm not a member of any clubs either, although I heard of one that meets at the Morton Arboretum that I'm interested in. I did find a great resource on the web; CACCA. http://www.geocities.com/chicameraclub/ The Chicago Area Camera Club Association is an liaison of camera clubs in the area. Check it out.

Sue,
No I don't think you do, I really am aiming this class at someone just starting out. Trying to make it sort of intro into this wonderful word we have here.
