Thanks Mel,

well, this was the photo that I fell over a partially submerged barbed wire fence, I suppose we have to suffer for our art, next time I'll take a cab :)

Hi John,

Love these minimalistic, boldly saturated photos. The image aspect definitely works in your favour, using the gradient in the blue sky to a max.

Excellent image quality, too. the bright yellow creates an excellent contrast with the dep blue. Great shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

Well, that didn't work. When I tried the link, it just took me to the home page, so I guess I write out the prose here again...it fits your graduated sky.:)

THIS IS...

Blue, deep at the top of the dome: so deep that the eye can no more penetrate the heights than it can the depths of the sea.

Then blue, azure and clear at the sides; even and continuous.

And then blue that is subtle, pale; mingled with turquoise which fades into whiteness at the horizon.

All of these touching; the darkest blending into the lightest.

This is the sky.

If his eyes were to be like the sky, bright and clear and fathomless, then might I love him.

But his eyes ARE like the heavens. They are like the sky at night, so dark they are almost black. So deep, so dark, and so full that I do love him.

This is my Love.

Love this crop, John! The yellow at the bottom, then the graduated blue sky with the lovely little clouds...all magic!:)(See the lyric prose I put on Phillip Minnis' photo a while back at http://www.usefilm.com/image/1152646.html)
