About I was only half-satisfied with my previous attempt - it was a little underexposed, and as such the gradation of tones was too "stepped" even in RAW. Plus I felt I could find a much more satisfying composition if I stuck with it. This one is a lot simpler with just primary colours, I've used some printer paper as reflectors, and got the exposure spot-on this time. It's rare that I'm completely satisfied with one of my photos, but this one I am! :-)

Thanks Derek, I just know there are lots more shots in there but I simply ran out of time! The good thing about this sort of photography is it's relatively straightforward to set everything up again and have another go. One for a rainy day... - Andy

fun shot.... I think now that you got the lighting spot on is worth playing around a bit. the composition is a bit - er - static? maybe trying to play with different rotations of the mugs in with this same framing could end up in a really good dinamic series.

Thanks AlZahraá, some lovely shots in your portfolio - wish I'd been that good at 21!! 'Red x Blue' is fantastic - so often it's the simplest compositions that work the best.
All the best, Andy
