hi Mark...thanks for the kind words. as for the faint glow, i didn't really notice until you pointed it out, so i'm not sure! i didn't use a flash at all on this one, and don't recall any lights...so i have no good answer for you. anyways, glad you like it.

Todd,
Just perusing your portfolio. Not sure how I missed this one. There is so much to like about it. So instead of boring you with the complete list .. I'll just mention the way the steel (aluminum?)around the red fabric jumps out of the imare, and how great the linoleum looks.
Also, one question - When I stare at the wall, it appears that there is a very faint circular pattern of yellows and greens radiating from a center point. Is that the result of a flash, or something else? Or, just me going a little more wacko?

Good title! It brought me to the image... which is every bit as good as the title. Must thank Carlos, too, whose comment also took me to "hourglass" and introduced me to your photos.

...perfect...being 4 in the moring, could not sleep, I am being particularly drwn to titles this morning for some reason and this one in going to win 1st place - in my mind - in todays title contest - love the shot to -- perfect eye for form and detail as usual. K

Hi Todd, I love your style, but this one's got to be really special! Aside from no barrel distortion, perfect horizontals, the only slight perspective comes from the shallow vanishing point towards which the chairs are ever slightly fanning. The eye wonders up and down, left and right, looking for a detail to hook on, and the absence of such detail makes one look at the terrazzo floor, the only variation of the seemingly endless repetition. Todd, this is brilliant!

Hi Todd,

title of the day? =)
this is a fine piece of art. the endless row of boring places. like the graphical look and the warm white balance. love that single line above.

best wishes,
Thilo

? you do what you do so well Todd - consistently ?harness? a unique visual grammar, elegant alienation ? The soothing warm colors parallel to that sense of distance, the loneness so particular to your vision ? an hypnotic piece with that unique Millerresque stamp and feel?

Again so evident the technical jump upwards with your new camera.

Nice, very nice abstract... no! very nice minimalistic picture: once again the absence of people and writing and other communicating sources has created a great ambiance full of Zen(!) in front of which you can ask yourself... what the question is!

Big thanks for sharing.

How wonderfully boring!(and i mean that in a good way, beleive it or not...) Very uniform, and yes, definately abstract. You should sell it to ikea for one of their odd posters ;)
