Quite a lot to take in here....
The walls are an old Roman fort - about 2000 years old!
The valley below is about 1000 feet below where we were, which is high for England.
The very distant thing just below the sun is the Isle of Man, which is miles away in the irish Sea somewhere and that sun is real.
It's one of the many shots I managed to get when I bobbed over to see Alastair and Marie in Lancaster.
We went up to the lakes and over a few incredible passes I'd never seen before. Sure there will be many more of these from the trip!
Polariser, 2 ND grads on the sun and fill flash on the foreground.... the ONLY way I could get any detail in the foreground!!!!
