Haunting, and beautiful. And yes, hot. From the comments already posted, I'm guessing this is you - excellent job on composition, not being able to frame it in the viewfinder, too. For whatever it's worth, I'm bookmarking your portfolio page - I'm liking pretty much everything I've seen so far.

Awesome!!! I like the low saturation. Prefer this one for the colored one. Also the use of light and the expression are great!

Congrats,

Stefan

Perfect. The expression makes it but the technical work really finishes this exceptional image.

Tanya,

You truly need a Crucifix hanging around your neck on this one, but otherwise you rock my friend?

Well done indeed,

Martin

I hope you don?t mind, but since I see dead people too, I did play about with the contrast, brightness and color just a bit?

Tanya, mon amour,
What an exquisite look. I love the color and lack of color at the same time. Beautiful photo, VERY beautiful lady!!!

BTW, if you promise to bring this very sexy look with you, Norway is a go!!! Drop me a line and we'll work out the details... oak.etienne@gmail.com

Merci, merci beaucoup!!!

Tanya, when I use either ACDSee or Photoshop CS, I have access to that data. In Photoshop, its in the Metadata tab, and is listed as 'Camera Data (EXIF)'.

t marie t marie   {K:302} 10/8/2005
hmm....exif doesn't give me any info on the picture...except for the resolution=/
is there another way to get this info?
btw- THANKS!! =)

Yeah, I laugh when uploading a photo like this to Usefilm, when I get to the part that requires me to categorize it as EITHER color or B&W.

A couple of things that would help others from your art is better use of the forms we fill out:
- I usually add after 17-85 (awesome lens, isn't it?) what specific focal length it was shot at.
- On film, digital is understood with a 20D, so I use that slot to let folks know my ISO speed.
- You can also consult Photoshop for the shutter and aperture used on that shot ( I LOVE EXIF).

...just a suggestion.

the soft lighting is battling against the pseudo-evil stare, Tanya, and emotionally, I think the soft lighting wins.

I like the tight crop and low contrast. They work well together.

Yes pale is!
The eyes maintain their gloss here.

I like it...what a look! I don't think the eyes should have whiter...would throw off the whole mood of the piece.

thank you=)
self portaits are fun..i think i look pretty evil in this one;)

David Hofmann   {K:22223} 10/8/2005
I agree, comparing both I like the less saturated version better, too. The other one seems a little too rich.
I wasn't aware it was a self portrait. You are really pretty. I did only one atempt on a self portrait and all I could come up with was making me look evil :) :)

An intriguing portrait Tanya. I think maybe the whites of the eyes could be just a little lighter. Nice work. regards John
