I wish I could say my eyes were normally that colour. It wasn't intentional, but playing with the curves turned them from their normal greeny khaki colour - to something much more pleasant!

Hi Sally, thank you for your comment on my blue bird.
You have a very creative portfolio, images like this are more then just a snap of the camera, very artsy.
Congratulations on a fine abstract.
Kind Regards
Lee

Thanks Lydia - this was purely by accident - I was messing around with 'curves'. All I did was go into curves, grab the 'node' in the top right hand corner and drag it directly left - that's it!

I really like this minimalist effect. The detail in the pupil is amazing.

I'd also be interested in knowing more about how to achieve this effect in Photoshop so if you feel like sharing the advice, I'd be all ears.

Great concept for a shot. If you check out my portfolio you'll see why I'm so fond of this idea for a photo. Very nice treatment to the image.

Ferran

PS...I just got an infra-red filter but have no idea how to use it..any suggestions...thanks Sally...Linda

Oh, certainly Sally!
Do you use Photoshop? If so, e-mail me at the address on my profile, and I can explain it.

Lovely art work, Sally. I love the high key and almost impressionistic feel you captured here...

Thanks for the suggestion Paul - I'd be grateful if you'd tell me what a threshold layer is and how I do one - then I can re-post me eye!

Love it! Very artistic.

I like the high key approach, but it seems you did this by adjusting curves, as the lashes get that orangey-oversaturated look to them.

Perhaps use a threshold layer to moderate saturation or to replace the high-key lashes all together.
