This poor tree was split open in a storm, to reveal this amazing array of colours, textures and colours. It had my eyes darting all over it. In some ways,thankfully a rare sight.
The detail in the lighter part, I'm sure is Six and Half a Dozen , as we say here. Many thx for your comments. Like your photos too, just need to maybe fill that frame with the subject a tad more, and adjust your lighting or ISO.

What a great shot - love the colors and the composition. The light part does not show as much detail as the rest of the shot - but I suspect that has to do with the tree and not the photographer. Jan
