Very striking and effective! Love the colours and the diagonal composition. Like Jim I wonder if it would have more impact without the wick though as I find the wick a touch distracting...

Great shot of the smoke. The curves in the upper right of the image is where I think the greatest interest lies in your photo. I almost wonder if this would look even stronger with the wick cropped out of the left corner. I really like the contrast of the smoke against the blueish/black background.
