Brave and largely successufl attemp to convey speed by a slow shutter and good panning. And on film, too! That's impressive! These days it's mostly people who can spot their mistakes instantly using a digital camera who take this kind of shot. I think the cyclists could have been a little larger for greater effect.

Absolutely fantastic and stunning action shot! Love the movement, the motion blur, and the dramatic lighting really adding to the mood of the shot. The sky looks dark and menacing behind the riders: not sure if it is sky or some other structure, but it looks fantastic.
