Thanks David! I'm working on my dissertation right now and teaching part time. It really doesn't leave a lot of time, but when I get tired of writing I take pictures. So I'll write for an hour or two and then snap some pictures. That's why most of my pictures lately have been of things I find around the house. I don't get out much these days!

And how do you get time to do anything with your Phd.

Another perfect shot Laurie... This is your problem... All this perfection is hard to keep up! This is possibly the best of the series in my opinion. The textures and lighting on the ribbon are sublime....and the way the ribbon folds back on itself is very graceful and elegant indeed. Wonderful composition and toning...

Thanks Linda! This has been an interesting series for me. I've never spent so much time arranging ribbon in all my life!
I found I've had to underexpose a lot of these images because the ribbon is shiny and picks up light in some places (it's rather obvious in the intertwined image). It's been a learning experience. :)
