About This time I'm using my Helios 58mm lens. It was a VERY bright day, and I could hardly believe the meter readings. One of the few occasions I've really felt that 800 ISO film wasn't the best choice.

I'm delighted to hear it, Mary. I am just entering a hideously busy few days myself, and will not even have time to look at pictures, let alone upload or comment... hope to be back at the end of next week.

What a beautiful place. YOu have captured its beauty and majesty well.
Roger, I've seen the pictures you have posted in these last days. I have been short on time and UF was slow and out for a bit. Anyway, although I don't have time to make more individual comments, I have enjoyed viewing your picture.

John, I have shaky hands and slow lenses, and tend to prefer great DOF. Also I hate flash. So I end up using 800 ISO as standard during the darker months. Now I've changed over to my slow, high res, low grain film. (400 ISO Fuji Superia!!!!) 800 was the wrong choice here, as I am very well aware...

I like this one the best Roger. 800? MI gawd is it that dark there? I never go above 400 even in the dark!

Cheers - John

Well, I thought I'd drop in and see what Roger was up to in the Far East.

Seems you've finally abandoned your telephone for a while in favor of a camera. Good choice.

I like this vertical composition the best of the series. I always respond to horizontal bands or layers of color in a vertical frame. The little figues dutifully walking the paths add a lot of interest. There are really a lot of separate colors to engage the mind. I think you have lost something by using 800 speed film.

Me? I've been uploading to a stock site for months. It's a lot of work. I have not become rich.

Impressing view ! The 800 has not enuff resolution for this nature shot indeed. Too many little deatils get lost.

Wow.. what beautiful colors.. a fantastic landscape..yeah, Love the mountains in the background as well.. 800ISO may have been overpowered by the sunny day but the image still came our nicely.. great work..

LOL I just made a remark on the version I about the 800 ISO.
The vertical view and the greens versus the cherryblossoms make it a very particular scene. Great sense of perpsective too.
