About She found this pansy floating in the creek we were playing in. I thought this turned out interesting. F9, shutter @1/800, in manual mode.

Thank you Christy, I'm really pleased that you liked it. It probably could be a little brighter on the pansy, I'll have to work on that.

OH WOW! This amazing to me! I do wonder what it would look like if the pansy was brightened just a little...it is wonderful as is though.

Thanks again Trish, and yes, really. I didn't do anything to this. The grain, the dof, it's all as it was shot. Just a little bit brighter and a little more contrast. Honest!

Thanks Trish, but I didn't put any effects on this. It was my shallow dof and the lighting where we were, and how close I was standing to her. The only thing I did to this was brighten it up just a bit with brightness/contrast adjustments. Glad you loved it!!

Thank you Roby, I really would have liked it to be lighter, but the dark served the mood. It was a one of those moments I just "grabbed" before it was gone. Had I taken time to get the "perfect," settings, I would have missed it. Plus, I like the mood I captured here. Thanks so much, I'm so glad you liked it.

Nour, thank you. I think it was the dof that I liked as well. It just seemed so different. It's dark because we were under a bridge in total shade, with only streams of light here and there.

Dale, my dear friend..
A lot of dark is a big photography with a lot of mood and of the tones but delicate!
This "violet of the thought" is a photography which transmits beautiful emotions and a gift.
cheers

maybe it is a little bit dark and grainy, but i like the shallow DOF so much
