Wonderful texture, tone and contrast of figure against ground. The noise is a little troublesome (I wish the crow were sharper), but it is nevertheless a fascinating image. Very well done, Ashley!

Well I like the transformation to the new rendering pattern. Is that the colored pencil filter in PS? It's so hard to photograph crows, too. Their black plumage just sucks up light, and most of the time, detail is lost in the black feathers. Only thing that could have made it better is if all of his tail feathers were in the frame.

I think this would be better with the eye visible. Also, the loss of sharpness atthe boundary of the bird's body is a problem. I like many of your other shots better. Mark
