thanks Amy, all my pics are taken with a tiny sony cybershot, nothin too special about it except that it's all i got.. It has its limitations and am looking forward to finding myself a decent camera too.. the shopping will be heaps of fun.. thanks again for comment

Love this one! Lots of nice photos in your portfolio. This one reminds me of all the Garden Orbs that would string up webs overnight at my bush house in Perth. Lots of neat stuff to shoot there, but I didn't have the good camera then.

Greg you told me about this one and I all I can say is heebie geebies about the subject, but hip hip hooray on taking this without macro. It is so clear and you can even see the hairs on his legs (gross, I just got way too close for comfort)...you did very well!! Amanda

yes i know how you feel, i think i hate them more than snakes...ummm... well maybe not... have seen a few snakes very close up and really didn't feel comfortable....lol....
yes macro means 'close up' and yes you can also buy a macro lens for slr or dslr cameras.... your camera should have a macro mode on it, a little flower?... when you do closeup's use that mode, it will focus on your subject more and blurr the stuff in the background out...... it's all trial and error... get out there and shoot shoot shoot....
i'm off next week for nearly 2 weeks, going bush....... can't wait to get plenty shots.... !!!!!!
